OJ Scales // web design & build studio // worldwide

Don’t read
the pitch.
Scroll it.

Four of our builds are embedded live in this page — loaded from their own URLs, running in real browsers inside these devices. Not screenshots, not video, not a case-study PDF. Keep going and scroll them yourself.

Everything above the live builds is one continuous WebGL scene, and your scroll position is the only thing driving it. The sections do not load in — they are blended into each other, in a shader, as you move.

00 // what this studio is

We are a web design
and build studio.

We take a business — anywhere in the world — and build it a website that behaves like a piece of software, not a brochure.

Hand-written HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Scroll choreography written against your actual content. Shaders written line by line, with no WebGL library underneath them.

No page builders. No bought themes. No two builds that look alike.

Then we hand over a real URL on real hosting, and you judge it in your own browser before you commit to anything.

OJ Scales // web design & build

Line by line.
Not dragged
and dropped.

Every build on this page is written by hand, start to finish — no template, no page builder, no agency layer between the idea and the person who codes it. Four live builds are embedded on this page so you can judge the standard yourself, before you ever reply.

“KALEIDO” storefront · WebGL hero, hand-written GLSL, no library
01 // who you are actually talking to

A studio built
on one standard:
genuinely unreasonable.

OJ Scales builds websites for ambitious businesses worldwide — estate agents who want one property to have its own site, independent shops who want a storefront that does not look like a template, and operators whose work is better than their website. A website does not care which country you trade from, and neither do we.

Whoever replies to your email is whoever builds your site — design, code, animation, hosting. There is no account-management layer to pass through, which is the point: nothing gets lost in translation between the person who promised it and the person who builds it.

  • Hand-written, not assembled. No page builder, no bought theme, no drag-and-drop. The builds on this page are HTML, CSS and JavaScript written line by line — including the shader running behind these words.
  • Built first, pitched second. On the estate-agent line the site exists before the first email goes out. There is nothing to imagine, because it is already running.
  • Built to scale with you. The same process that builds one property's page or one storefront's launch is built to carry a growing roster of clients without ever dropping to a template or a drag-and-drop builder.

03 // built for scale

What this studio is built to do.

Every build is hand-written, not assembled from a template or a page builder — the same standard whether it is a single property listing or a full storefront launch. That standard is built to hold as the roster of clients grows, not just for the first one.

A different build, every time No templates, no themes, no two sites that look alike. Every animation, every shader, every scroll sequence is written specifically for your brand — verifiable in the page source of either live build above.
Fast, without cutting a single corner A fully built, fully animated site in days, not months — because there is no agency layer between the idea and the code.
Built by who you're talking to The person replying to your email is the person writing your code. Nothing relayed, nothing diluted on the way from the pitch to the build.

No client logos, no testimonials, no star ratings. Both live builds embedded above are either a private offer still in play or a showcase built to set the standard, which is exactly why there is not a single company name or logo anywhere on this page — naming someone who has not agreed to anything would break the promise made to every client. The work speaks before anything else does.

A studio that opens every pitch with the finished build, not a proposal, does not need a quote in a box with a stranger's face next to it — the two live builds above argue the case instead.

See for yourself: scroll the two builds above, open them full size, and run them on your own phone. The work is the argument, and it is a strong one.

05 // the mechanism

How a build actually happens

Four steps. No discovery call, no proposal deck, no onboarding portal, no twelve-week process.

01

You send us the raw material

Photos, listing details, product shots, whatever already exists. No brief document, no questionnaire, no mood board exercise. If you have a logo, send it; if you do not, that is fine too.

02

We build the whole thing

Design and code in one pass, hand-written, end to end. The animation is designed against your actual content rather than dropped on top of a template afterwards.

03

You get a real URL, not a mockup

It goes up on real hosting over HTTPS and you open it on your own phone. No screenshots to approve, no PDF of what it might look like. If it is not right, you say so and we change it.

04

It moves to your domain

Two DNS records at your registrar, which takes about five minutes and which you can do yourself. We never need your website password. The files are yours outright afterwards.

00 // proof, immediately

Two of them, running
right now, inside this page.

A phone and a laptop, both loading a real OJ Scales build from its own live URL. Click into either device and it scrolls, animates and reacts exactly as it does for a real visitor — because it is the real visitor's page.

Two more real builds.
Still running. Scroll them yourself.

Both frames below are the actual live websites, loaded from their own URLs inside these device shells — not screenshots and not video. Click into either one and it scrolls, animates and reacts exactly as it does for a real visitor.

One property, its own entire website

Ridgeview House, Henley-on-Thames — a single-property listing site built from one continuous scroll-driven walkthrough video, with the floorplan and room dimensions underneath it. The flagship example for every estate-agent build on this line.

“KALEIDO” — a storefront with a shader for a hero

A full storefront concept: the hero is a hand-written GLSL program resampling the photograph per pixel — refraction, chromatic aberration and iridescence that track your cursor. No WebGL library, no plugin. The brand is invented and nothing on it is for sale.

04 // scope it yourself

What kind of build is this?

A rough, honest scope in under a minute — not a price, just where your project sits on the build scale and what that means for turnaround. Answer a few quick questions, then tell us about the business itself.

06 // selected builds

A sample of the work

Listed by what they are rather than who they belong to. The listing page is a private offer that has not been answered yet, and the two storefronts are invented brands built to show the standard — so there is no real company name to print on any of the three.

Listing page A single-property listing site shown on a phone.

Ridgeview House, Henley-on-Thames

One property, its own site. A continuous scroll-driven walkthrough built from one real video, with the floorplan and room dimensions underneath it. Invented property, real build.

Storefront The KALEIDO storefront build, range section.

KALEIDO — holographic eyewear

Hand-written GLSL refraction hero, a pinned horizontal range break, and a seven-layer lens cross-section that assembles itself as you scroll. Invented brand, real code.

Storefront The MONOLOOM storefront build.

MONOLOOM — single-loom clothing

A different shader on purpose: a cloth fold-field with surface normals, a raking sheen and a warp/weft interlace that creases where the fabric creases. Not the first one retinted.
